Hipsters and taco lovers – I know the perfect place for you. Located in the heart of North Park, City Tacos blends the perfect amount of hipster culinary cuisine with the beloved street taco.
As a half-Latina, half-hipster, full-taco lover, I have been to this taco shop more times than I care to admit. The tacos here are GOOD - REAL GOOD. Each taco is only $3.50 and they’re loaded to the brim with incredible amounts flavor. One of the best parts about this taco shop is the high quality ingredients with a small taco shop vibe. Sort of like what would happen if your Abuela started listening to The Black Keys and shopping at Whole Foods. Grab yourself a Jarritos or craft beer, load up on jicama and Tajin, and enjoy.
My favorites? The chicken and the carne asada. The Mahi Adobo is Mr. San Diego's favorite, as well as the Carnitas taco with mango and chicarones.
