The Biscuit Bar | The Boardwalk at Granite Park
At the cross of the Dallas North Tollway and Sam Rayburn Tollway in Plano is a very cool lake-front retreat with VERY COOL restaurants. The Boardwalk at Granite Park is a unique restaurant complex with a wraparound deck that is perfect for date nights, family gatherings, and brunches!
One of the eateries here is The Biscuit Bar and Mr. San Diego and I stopped by for a casual and delicious date night. It was our first time here and were so impressed with the restaurant and the complex!
The Biscuit Bar
Just as the sign says, The Biscuit Bar at The Boardwalk in Plano serves biscuits, tots, and taps. With indoor and outdoor seating areas, this eatery is not only delicious but super cool to look at. Their biscuit window seating lets you watch the magic of biscuit making, their indoor bar counter is perfect to grab a brew, and their fun design and decor gives you plenty of cool photo opportunities to put on your Instagram.
Beyond looking cool, the food is awesome. Whoever decided to take delicious biscuits and use them to make sandwiches is a GENIUS. From traditional biscuits and gravy to hot chicken sandwiches or french toast, this establishment uses their biscuits as the perfect doughy vessel for a variety of toppings. You can pair your biscuit with a side of tater tots topped with sweet or savory goodness, and/or try one of their fun dessert options!
Mr. San Diego got the Hot Hot Chicken sandwich, and as the name suggests, it was really HOT. I ordered the french toast and it was delicious! I wanted to go back for more. We shared a side of the fully loaded tots, had a beer, and enjoyed the breeze off the patio with a view of the lake.
They're open every day at 8:00am and stay open almost all day! You can go for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert and you can find something here perfect for any meal time. After you're done, you can stroll around The Boardwalk!

The Boardwalk at Granite Park - Plano
Even though The Boardwalk is surrounded by a hotel, tall buildings, and a freeway, this restaurant complex feels like a hidden retreat. Situated on a man-made lake, the patios of the several eateries here look out onto a long curved deck that feels like you're on a waterfront oasis. You can take a stroll under the many hung lights and relax on one of the deck chairs. It is both casual and upscale, bustling and relaxing, and that makes it perfect for a nice evening out.
