Texas Grapefruit Yogurt Loaf

Texas has the best grapefruit! Seriously! After a lifetime of avoiding these ruby red beauties, I decided to give them another shot and my mind was blown. Turns out, Texas Grapefruits are in a league of their own because they’re sweeter (though still tart) and just overall completely delicious. I’ve been devouring these for months now and I finally decided to try them out in my baking!

Behold, the Texas Grapefruit Yogurt Loaf! It’s light, it’s incredibly moist, it’s sweet yet slightly tart - it’s pretty much perfection! Even Mr. San Diego loved this loaf and he is generally impassive about any sweet treats.

This loaf reminds me a lot of the Starbucks Lemon Loaf, but it’s less dense and has grapefruit instead of lemon. This feels like a perfect tea or brunch treat and because it has a high oil content, it keeps for longer than expected.

I found the recipe for this beauty on shutterbean.com.

I am thrilled with how this turned out and I can’t wait to make more loafs! I love baking with citrus and I see lots of berries and lemons in my future. Do you have a favorite loaf or citrus baked good that rocks your world? Let me know in the comments below!

enjoy! xoxo
