Some Loves, Some Likes
This week has been AMAZING. Two cookbooks from Half Baked Harvest have reignited my motivation for cooking, and I couldn’t be more excited! Pair that with my new obsession with having healthy hair and going back to yoga for the first time in MANY weeks, and it’s all added up to having a blast these past few days.

I recently bought these cookbooks and I was so impressed that I decided to have my very own Julie and Julia moment! I’ll be cooking my way through both books and sharing the journey over on the Cooking section of my blog! I’ve made a few of the recipes so far and it’s been AMAZING!

I have been loving tea lately, especially the variety of Harney and Sons teas I purchased recently. Their Hot Cinnamon Sunset is my absolute favorite and I lived on it all Winter, but now that it’s warmer, I love the citrus and green teas like this fantastic Blueberry Green tea! Plus, the packaging is SOOO CUTE!

This isn’t my super shampoo brush / scalp massager. I purchased one a few years ago, and while I enjoyed using it, it quickly got mildewy. It had a plastic base connected to the silicone bristles, and the seal around the base wasn’t strong enough. The poor design allowed water to get inside the plastic, which then caused it to get gross. I didn’t think I’d ever buy one again, but I saw this new one on TikTok with an all-silicone design, and I had to try it out! No edges mean no places for the water to get stuck!
This one on Amazon is super cheap and comes in a two-pack! It’s perfect and I absolutely love it! I love having my head rubbed and hair played with, so this scrubby action on my scalp is just delightful!

I’m never drying my hair with a regular towel ever again! I didn’t realize I was so rough on my hair with regular bath towels. I’ve been following a few girls on TikTok who have AMAZING hair, and microfiber hair towels seem to be a must-have for good hair. Now I understand why!
I don’t know how to explain it, but my hair just felt better/softer/happier after using it. It doesn’t completely dry my hair but rather gets it to a perfect level of damp to blow dry it after. These come in a pack of two and they’re long enough to completely cover my long-ish hair. They’re super soft on the inside and thicker than the Turbie Twists.

It has been WEEKS since I’ve been to hot yoga and I finally went back this Sunday! I forgot how HAPPY it makes me - exercise endorphins are real, y’all. It is one hour of my day where my obsessive and non-stop thoughts are forced to take a back seat, and all my focus is centered on a single thing…staying alive - ha!
Yoga on its own is fine, but HOT yoga is my absolute favorite. It feels so good to sweat HARD in a hot studio and limber up my muscles. My body and brain LOVE IT. Now I need to not injure myself again and make excuses for weeks after I’m healed! Here are some of my favorite hot yoga items:
Yoga Mat Towel: amzn.to/3c6wkgL. These are my FAVORITE and I have at least ten of them.
Maduka PRO Yoga Mat: amzn.to/3oLsP4q. It’s not a cheap mat but it’s incredibly well made, longer and thicker than standard mats, and has kept in practically perfect condition for the past six years I’ve owned it. So worth the money!
Sweaty Bands Hair Band: amzn.to/3yBYjP0. It’s a velvet band on elastic that doubles as a sweat headband and hair holder. Keeps my hair and sweat out of my eyes, and considering how much I sweat in classes - it’s a MUST HAVE.
