June 2018 Favorites
Okay, okay – I know I completely dropped the ball and didn’t post my April and May Favorites.
Now that I’m settled in as an official Texan, I’m jumping back on my blog wagon! Here are some things that I've been loving for the past few months.
1. Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel - $36
Holy. Hydration.
I’m blown away by this gel-based eye cream – it has made a noticeable difference in the look and feel of my under eye area. This product is thick and glides on smoothly with an almost cooling sensation, and because it’s so thick, it takes a long time for it to soak in completely. I use this at night before bed and wake up with plumper looking under eyes.
Another benefit to this product is amount you get. While the price is about even to my other two favorite eye creams, there is 25mL of product compared to the average 10 or 15mL.

2. YSL All Hours Longwear Natural Matte Foundation - $58
While this foundation is painfully expensive, I’ve fallen in love with everything about it. This full coverage foundation claims to have all day coverage and it definitely lasts longer than anything else I’ve ever used, even on hot and sweaty Texas days. I prefer to use a Beauty Blender for application and it flawlessly blends out and allows control over coverage. You can sheer it out or build it up. It smells AMAZING, does not clog my pores, and has shades that match my yellow undertone perfectly!

3. Too Faced Natural Matte Eyeshadow Palette - $38
If you’re looking for an everyday eyeshadow palette, this is it. I’ve been using this palette every day for the past two months and I cycle through every single color regularly. It’s perfect for travel because the packing is THICK, it has a large mirror that holds itself up, and has a good range of shadow tones. I love it!

4. YSL Volupte Tint In Oil - $32
I love the look of lipgloss but hate the sticky feel of it, and this Volupte Tint in Oil solves that problem. You get the youthful plumping look and shine from glosses but the oil makes it silky instead of sticky. It smells super yummy, has a great applicator, and lasts a long time!

5. Mighty Patch - $12.99
Sweaty summers ALWAYS lead to a flurry of whiteheads of my face. I hate it. While there isn’t much I can do to prevent them, these patches are a wonder in treating them quickly. The hydrocolloid acne-absorbing patches are applied directly to the blemish and left on for at least six hours. They absorb the funk and dry out the area! Works great on oozy mosquito bites too!

6. BODY Anti Chafe Balm - $7.49
Let’s be real – we all chafe. Some more than others, but I think we can all universally agree that chafing is brutal. In the past, I’ve just rubbed deodorant on the areas I need to glide, but that doesn’t normally last long and sometimes gets sticky. This balm glides on smoothly and lasts all day, without any sticky friction or color transfer.

local Texas Beer
Mr. San Diego loves craft beer - he even brews at home sometimes. After moving to Texas, he was pleasantly surprised at how many different breweries there are out here! Texans love their beer.
Favorite Movie: Won't You Be My Neighbor?
With all the negativity and cynicism in the world right now, this movie is what everyone needs. Mr. Rogers' passion for truth and transparency is delivered with total love and compassion, making him such a unique and popular icon. Seeing his love for children and desire to enrich and support them for so many years is overwhelming. This movie is absolutely worth watching!
