March 2018 Favorites
Let me just say - March has been INSANE. We have been so incredibly busy and this month completely flew by! However, being busy hasn't stopped me from spending my money recklessly on new things that I have loved this month.
1. Tarte Mermaid Skin Hyaluronic H20 Serum - $42
Tarte launched this incredible new skincare product earlier this month and I ordered it the moment it went on sale. I have been using it every single day since it arrived and I am OBSESSED.
My first impression had me worried that I spent a lot of money on something that felt like nothing. I was convinced that I was going to end up sending back the product because it felt like mildly viscous water. After using it for one night, I woke up with noticeably better looking skin. It took one use to make my face look and feel healthier! I was blown away. I use two full pumps and it completely absorbs into my skin within minutes. I top it off with my regular face cream and my skin feels more moisturized than it ever has. I highly recommend it if you're looking to add moisture back into your face!

2. Clinique Pop Glaze Sheer Lip Colour + Primer - $18.50
This lipstick is perfectly sheer yet buildable and looks like Spring on my lips! It appears bright orange but it goes on like a lipgloss with a sheer lipstick texture. It's perfect for Spring and I love all of the colors that Clinique came out with for this line. I'm not sure how long it's been around but I just recently discovered it and think it may be my new all-time favorite lippie.

3. Phone Loops "Ninja Loop" - $5.99
One of the best parts of the new iPhone X is the wireless charging capability - and one of the worst parts is that you can't use a wireless charger if you have one of the popular-yet-bulky Pop Sockets or Loopys. When I saw the Phone Loops advertised on Instagram, I knew it was exactly what I needed!
If you know me, then you know I drop my phone at least three times a day. I've dropped it on my face, I've dropped it on the ground, and I've dropped it on other people's children. I neeeeeed something to help me keep my phone in my hands and I love this simple and brilliant little device. Essentially, it's a strap with 3M adhesive on both ends. You can make the loop as tight or as loose as you want, go diagonal with it, and it doesn't interfere with wireless charging! Yay!

4. Apple Airpods - $159
You all know of these. You most likely have them. I'm super late to the game but I am so in love with these AirPods! I have burned through so many pairs of cheap wireless headphones that take forever to charge and don't last more than four hours of listening. Well, these also don't last more than four hours, BUT you can charge one pod at a time while still listening on the other, and the case recharges them so quickly! If you're traveling, you can go about two days with just the case to charge them. I'm so happy I decided to treat myself to these. They're the best!

5. Corkcicle Canteen Heathered Collection in Grey - $29.95
I love this canteen because it's so pretty and it fits in my car's cupholders! Really, that's all I have to say. None of my other canteens have ever fit in my cup holder and I was way too happy when this one did! I have seen these Corkcicle canteens in other colors but they were too simple. We were shopping at Pigment in Hillcrest and I saw this beauty and had to get it!

6. Bastiste Dry Shampoo in Tropical - $7.99
This dry shampoo has been a long time favorite of mine but I usually buy the "Wild" scent. I've been loving this Tropical scent this month because it smells like Spring (I'm obviously into all things Spring this March) and I think I might like it more than Wild! I have a hard time buying higher-end hair products because I have so much hair and go through products quickly. This stuff is affordable and works great!

1. BRÖÖ Craft Beer Shampoo + Conditioner - $7.49/ea.
Mr. San Diego is always using my shower products. When he saw this stuff at Target, he decided that he would rather smell like Blue Moon beer than my fruity shampoo. Hooray for both of us! He likes it and he leaves my products alone.

FAVORITE MOVIE: Thoroughbreds
Mr. San Diego really enjoyed this movie! I know that I should have enjoyed it, but I fell asleep in the theater because I was exhausted and never went back. It's a dark comedy that is getting great reviews. If I'm being honest, there wasn't a single other movie that came out in March that we enjoyed, so this is our March pick.
FAVORITE BINGE: RUN THE JEWELS albums
We didn't binge on anything worth mentioning on television in March - BUT OMG have you heard the Run The Jewels albums?! Yet another thing that I am super late on, but all three of their albums are insanely good! Mr. San Diego was playing their third album (which came out in 2016) on a recent road trip and it literally woke me from my nap so I could turn it up LOUD. We listened to all three albums and they're all I want to listen to right now.
FAVORITE othEr: Armchair expert podcast
Dax Shepard's new podcast is unbelievably good! His first episode aired in the middle of February and there is a new episode every week. I started listening to it at the beginning of the March and have listened to every single episode! He sits with a celebrity friend in his attic on an armchair couch (hence the name) and chats for an hour and half about anything and everything. All of his conversations are incredibly honest, intelligent, and you can tell that he genuinely enjoys talking about things in his past that would make most other people uncomfortable. At the end of every episode, he spend about thirty minutes being fact checked by his friend and producer Monica, and it's such a great idea that makes me love his podcast even more. Check out his website armchairexpertpod.com for how to listen.
Hope you enjoyed all my picks for March! Let me know what you've been loving in the comments below!
